Now a day, new media was a huge tool or platform to build creativity in various ways. And that includes music. Originally, music is already creat different creativity. But now there was a new style, mashups, which combines different pieces of music into a new piece of music. That's what reporter Sasha Frere-Jones said about the new math of mashups, 1 + 1 + 1 = 1. I agree with Sasha's statement about mashup, "Mashups find new uses for current digital technology, a new iteration of the cause-and-effect relationship behind almost every change in pop-music aesthetics: the gear changes, and then the music does." I think mashup becomes a recreation of the music, new creativity of music. It's not easy to make mashup and make it well. Because a mashup usually contains more than three music. When this song should join in and which song can play together, mashup artists need to deal with more obstacles. It was very creative to bring songs that you are familiar with together and become a new piece of music that you never thought of.
